Dwarf Death Troops of War

Hi this is idea of my new army for Warpath. Well I might use it with other systems like Warhammer 40k but it's mainly for Warpath. So here is army list.

DWARF DEATH TROOPS OF WAR
1 Forge Father Champion
- Extra Pistol

1 Forge Father Champion
- Extra Pistol

10 Steel Warriors
- 1 Hailstorm Cannon

10 Steel Warriors
- 1 Hailstorm Cannon

5 Stormrage Veterans
- 4 Dragon Breaths

1 Jotuun Heavy Hailstorm Cannon

1 Jotuun Heavy Hailstorm Cannon

I still need some more troops to make it 1000 pts in Warpath. But for now I'll just add some wargear to make them cost more. I will expand this army after I get this core. I'll probably make cavalry unit, some tanks and more infantry with some infantry transporters.

How this would be fielded in Warhammer 40k? Well I'll use rules for Imperial Guards to fields those Dwarfs over Warhammer 40k battlefields. This would be an unique
army for sure and yet more fun to play.

I'm still looking for the main colors for those dwarfs. I'm hesitating between green and blue theme.

Mantic Dwarf Miners

Miners are converted from Mantic Dwarf IronClads and Shieldbreakers. Painted to match the rest of Dwarf Army.

Those Dwarfs have pick-hammers and are able to be fielded as both: Miners with filler and Hammerers (Shieldbreakers) with filler swapped with 5 Shieldbreakers I've painted. Check them HERE..

The wolf is supposed to be a Giant Husky Sled Dog, which are second best friends to Dwarfs (well Mastiffs are their first best friends of course). Next project would be Dwarf Cavalry on Husky Dogs also with filler!

Revenants arrived!

I've just bought Mhorgoths's Revenge so my Undead Elite Revenant Army will be ready soon.

More Revenants soon to come.

I'm going to buy one more old Kings of War Battleset to get 20 more Revenants tomorrow to build my Revenant Horde for Undead Elite Army (40 models). I've decided to get the whole battleset to get 20 more skeletons (to switch armored bodies so my Revenants will look really armored).

Buying The Mhorgoth’s Revenge Fantasy Battleset will bring me some Zombies and Ghouls and also some Dwarves for a really good price.

I'd like to get new rules (they are free in the new battleset), but it might be better idea to get them with some Mega-armies sets.

Revenant Cavalry Regiment Review

Recently I've bought 2 Revenant Cavalry Regiments to make two units of 10 Revenant Knights in my Elite Undead Army. I'm impresed with quality of those models. Plastic-resin is really good material for miniatures. I wish Mantic produce all it's minis made of that material. It's light and very hard (harder than GW's finecasts or even Mantic plastics). I'm really exited about this units but I want to wait for some army upgrades from Mantic Skeleton Box to finish this units.
So here is what we have inside Revenant Cavalry Regiment Box:

- 9 Revenat Heads (2 different sculpts)
- 9 Revenat Arms with Lance (2 different sculpts, those same a little bit bended, but you can drown them in hot water and make them straight with ease)
- 9 Revenat Arms with Shield (2 different sculpts)
- 9 Revenat Bodies (2 different sculpts)
- 1 Musican Arm with Horn
- 1 Banner Arm
- 1 Revenant Champion Head
- 1 Revenant Champion Sword Arm
- 1 Revenant Champion Body (This are torso, legs, and arm with shield connected into one piece)
- 10 Horses (2 different sculpts, each is made from 2 parts)
- 10 Horse Bases (small bases, you glue horses to them and than to normal bases, they have some sculpted stuff like bones and rocks)
- 10 Cavalry Bases (2" x 1")

When I finish gluing them I'll post some scale comparison picture.

Revenant Cavalry have arrived!

I've just bought Revenant Cavalry Horde (well not exactly horde but 2 regiments, as horde is only available by buying directly from Mantic) for my Revenant Army List. I'm going to paint them in black and red color scheme. Can't wait to get Orcs and face them with my Undead.

Kings of War Orclings Profile

Those are really funny minis. Hope to gather a lot of after buying Mantic Orcs.

I'm about to use following rules for this unit. This was not yet used in any battle. Any suggestions are welcome.

Inf (2) 5 5+ 6+ 3+ 6 1
Special: Small, Throwing Weapons

ORCLING WARBAND COST: 50 PTS
Type Sp Me Ra De At Ne

ORCLING HORDE COST: 90 PTS

NEW SPECIAL RULES

Small
Those creatures are small and dodgy. That makes them very uncomfortable targets.
Any shooting at this unit is made with -1 to hit. This unit does not block line of sight, and any unit without small special rule can shoot over it. Small units are not allowed to shoot over other small unit.

With Small and Throwing Weapons special rules this unit can be very annoying. In my imagination this unit is not good at fighting at all. Well, they can disturb with throwing weapons, but not to much. I wanted to keep this unit cheap but not very good at fighting and that's a result.

Please tell me what do you think about this unit in a comment section.
